Mona Choo
Mona Choo was born in Singapore in 1970. She attained her BA Graphic Design and Illustration at Kingston University, UK in 1993.
In 2009, Mona was awarded the International Print-In-Residence at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. In 2010, she was commissioned by the FT and RBS Coutts to create three pieces of work for their annual ‘Women In Asia Awards’.
Mona’s art has consistently had a focus on humanity and our relationship with the planet. Our behaviour towards each other, current social issues and our attitude towards the natural environment inspire the visual commentary that make up the body of her work.
Recent exhibitions include the Bloomsbury Art Fair, London 2011, ArtSingapore 2009, The Gallery in Cork Street, London 2009, Agora Gallery, New York 2009 and Gallerie de Vle, Hong Kong 2009. Her work is in the collection of the Singapore Art Museum as well as in the United Overseas Bank, Singapore and Leo Burnett.
