Statement: In my paintings, people are posed inside machines and the machines are designed to function like the organs of a human body. In terms of my practices, I am playing with machines. My work is like a blueprint for building machines or a surreal space which human and machine inhabit together. The resulting graphic images depict fictional inventions which explore the relationship between human evolution and the development of technology. Focusing on the fusion of organic matter and machine, the works are directly etched and hand coloured in oil paint onto steel plate.
